I have a whole host of emotions going on right now about Chattanooga.
I am saddened that four of our country's best representations of honor and integrity were gunned down. Five families saddened. Four of which were the blood relatives and friends of the five marines, and the current, past and future leathernecks.
I am dismayed that somebody would want to inflict pain and suffering on people, for no reason.
I am angered that we as a society have let ourselves be victimized by somebody who wanted to end their life in a public assault on our country.
I am further angered by the weakness in our Administration who could allow muslim influences start something like this.
I am resigned to the media getting the story wrong, and blaming a flag, or George W. Bush, or the grey whales, where we know the reason for the attack is a culture clash. Where the roots of radical islam have decided to bring the jihad to our shores. Where they go after young disillusioned men and turn them into killing machines. Yes, we as Christians did the same thing to save the holy land during the crusades, but I doubt there is anybody alive who can be held responsible for that.
There are people responsible for Chattanooga, and diminishing their evil by banning a flag, or a gun, or turning them into victims, will only make us weaker. I am an Evangelical Christian, and I stand for light, I stand for freedom, and I stand for love. If there are those out there that would cause me or my family, my community, my church, my state or my nation harm... You have to go through me. I will oppose you personally, spiritually, righteously, with a bible in one hand, and a spear in the other, just like the men who stood with Nehemiah and built the walls of Jerusalem.
Will you pray with me for the people killed and wounded, as well as for the perpetrator, who was sucked in by evil. I also want to pray against the coming conflict, which is shaping up to be a fight to the finish, may we find forgiveness and mercy, and if forgiveness and mercy cannot be had, then let's cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war.
